Ah well the title of my post may intrgue the common folk, but it has two simple meanings; one philosphical (as expected), and the other simply refers to the name of the song which im currently infatuated with. Okay, so im on the zune insider website and they provide you a link to a Free Mp3 from Bloc Party! Even better, it’s one of their most recent remixes, and I swear this has to be the most sublime concoction of melodies put togehter in the history of the earth. It’s a cold hard mix (I love it already), and it has some obscure sounds which only add to the eccentricity of this piece; this is what dreams are made of ladies and gentlemen. It really moved things inside of me (as music usally does, and this is by the way how I get ideas of how and what to write when I want to express something) and I began once again on this journey through myself, wondering different pecularities, none of which were of great importance, but I stumbled across a flower amidst the mess of thoughts that were floating through my head. So ideal is the comfort that we seek, but what is the reality that lies beneath the idea; the face behind the mask. What defines it in any sort of manner? Truthfully, I think that there cannot be objectivity in such personal things, for if there were they would be so ditatched from the individual that they would cease to give comfort. The roles we play in our lives are the not the only parts we hold, for we inherently play parts which affect those around us and it is those roles that we fail to take note of at times. We become so fixed upon the fact that we must fulfill some purpose that we forget that there isn’t a single purpose to living, but rather living is a sequence of necessities we fulfill for ourselves and others in order to feel complete. So where is home, what is the destination that we all ultimately head to? That, simply stated, is a matter of perspective that is influenced by the subjective view which we hold because of our respective beliefs. This all brings me in a roundabout fashion to where I began, and it seems that comfort lies within ourselves ultimately. Although we find it in external things it only comes about if we fulfill those necessities that we sometimes overlook due to our fixation on our personal interests.
